The Swansea office of Azets, located at Ty Caer Wyr House, Phoenix Way, Swansea Enterprise Park, made a touching contribution to the local community by delivering a large supply of toiletries to Faith in Families’ Cwtch Mawr multi-bank. Led by Jo and her colleagues, the donation aims to support individuals and families struggling with hygiene poverty—an often overlooked but critical issue affecting low-income households.
What is Hygiene Poverty?
Hygiene poverty refers to the inability to afford basic hygiene and personal grooming products that many take for granted. It means families are faced with impossible choices, such as prioritising heating their homes, paying rent, or buying food over purchasing essential hygiene items like soap, deodorant, or toothbrushes. For those living in poverty, this daily struggle can lead to a loss of dignity and self-worth, further isolating them from society.
Examples of hygiene poverty include: Sharing or reusing hygiene items like toothbrushes, improvising with rolled-up toilet paper for period protection, reapplying nappies because there are no fresh ones available or even using washing-up liquid to clean bodies, clothes, and hair.

Supporting Faith in Families: March 2025 Quiz Night
Azets Swansea will continue their partnership with Faith in Families by hosting a fundraising quiz night in March 2025. The event, organised by Jo and her team, will aim to raise funds for the charity’s ongoing efforts. Attendees will be invited to form teams, with entry set at £150 per table, and additional donations will be raised through a raffle. All proceeds will go to Faith in Families Swansea.
