One Year of Heart: Celebrating Jo-Anne’s Journey & The Power of A Volunteer

Volunteer Manager One Year Success

This Volunteers’ Week, we’re shining a light on someone truly special — Jo-Anne, our brilliant Volunteer Manager — who is celebrating one incredible year of making magic happen at Faith in Families.

When Jo-Anne stepped into her role, she brought more than experience. She brought heart, vision, and an infectious belief in the power of people. In just 12 months, she’s helped shape a stronger, more connected volunteer community that uplifts not only our charity — but the children, families and communities we serve.

"What’s been most powerful is seeing volunteers realise just how much of a difference they make. Whether they’re helping a child learn to read, supporting our food parcels, or offering admin support — they’re part of real change. I’m just so proud to help them shine."

💛 The Impact of Volunteers

Jo-Anne’s first year has reminded us just how vital volunteers are to our mission. Every smile shared, every hour given, and every skill offered ripples outward, changing lives in ways we often can’t fully see.

Thanks to volunteers, we’ve:
  • Supported more children in safe, enriching spaces
  • Delivered essentials like food and clothing with dignity
  • Opened up life-changing opportunities for learning and growth
  • Built stronger, more resilient communities
