Azets Christmas Charity Event Brings Joy and Support to Swansea Families

The Azets Christmas charity event brought warmth, generosity, and real community spirit to Swansea this week. Faith in Families was honoured to join the celebration, and the night quickly became a beautiful reminder of how powerful kindness can be at Christmas. Guests arrived with wonderful gifts for children across our city, and because of their support, many families will feel a little more hope during the festive season.

A Night of Festive Cheer With a Purpose

The energy at the Azets Christmas charity event was joyful from the moment the doors opened. Clients, colleagues, and friends came together to enjoy an evening full of conversation, connection, and sparkle. They also embraced the special entry requirement: a donated toy for a child in need. As the pile of gifts grew, so did the sense of shared purpose.

In attendance from Faith in Families were CEO Cherrie Bija, Fundraising Manager Siany Martin, and Chair of Trustees Karen Devonshire. Their presence reflected our long and meaningful relationship with Azets. The team at Azets has supported our charity for years, and they continue to show their commitment in practical ways.

Azets: Long-Time Supporters Making a Real Impact

Azets are not new to this work. They have consistently stepped forward to champion the children and families we serve. Their fundraising efforts have been inspiring. For example, Jo Carr from the Swansea office completed a 100km trek across the Sahara Desert, raising over £3,400 for Faith in Families. Teams in Cardiff and Swansea have donated essential toiletries, created handmade hampers, and organised community events that have raised thousands more.

Their commitment goes beyond seasonal giving. It influences how families across Swansea access support, dignity, and hope. Because of partners like Azets, our Community Cwtches can continue to offer safe spaces, meals, emotional support, and access to essential items. Their kindness touches real lives and helps us reach children who would otherwise fall through the cracks.

During the evening, CEO Cherrie Bija shared heartfelt thanks for the generosity on display:

“Azets never fail to show what community really looks like. Their Christmas celebration was filled with kindness, joy, and compassion. Every gift donated will brighten a child’s Christmas morning and remind them that they matter. We are deeply grateful for their continued partnership. Together, we are creating hope, dignity, and brighter futures for families across Swansea.”

Her words captured the spirit of the night beautifully. The room wasn’t just full of presents. It was full of possibility.

Why This Christmas Event Matters

Christmas can be a difficult time for many families. Costs rise quickly, and pressures build. Parents often feel torn between necessities and the desire to give their children moments of joy. However, events like this show that our community stands together. Because people care, children will unwrap gifts with pride and excitement. They will know that someone thought of them.

The Azets Christmas charity event reminds us that small acts of kindness often create the biggest impact. A donated toy may seem simple, but for a child experiencing hardship, it can mean confidence, belonging, and a treasured memory.

Continuing a Partnership Full of Heart

Faith in Families is proud to call Azets a long-standing partner. Their continued support strengthens our projects, including our Community Cwtches and Wales Multibank Cwtch Mawr. Their commitment brings colour, stability, and opportunities to children who need them most.

We look forward to many more years of working together. Their passion for community makes a real difference, and their Christmas celebration highlighted how business and compassion can come together beautifully.
