Gaby Roslin and Arabella Weir Visit Cwtch Mawr Multibank

This week, Faith in Families welcomed The Multibank Ambassadors Gaby Roslin, and Arabella Weir, plus Faith in Families Trustee Helen Bowden from Expert LMS to spend time at the Faith in Families Cwtch Mawr Multibank, meeting the team, volunteers and partners who make this work possible every single day.

There’s something powerful about seeing the impact for yourself.

Both Gaby and Arabella bring a wealth of experience to their ambassador roles. Gaby Roslin is a well-known broadcaster and journalist, using her platform to champion social justice, dignity and fairness. Arabella Weir, actor, writer and long-standing advocate for community support, helping guide the charity’s long-term vision alongside amplifying its voice nationally.

Seeing the Multibank in action brought the scale and ambition of the model to life; from hygiene essentials being packed by volunteers, to the behind-the-scenes systems that connect surplus to need across Swansea Bay and beyond.

During the visit, Expert LMS demonstrated their learning management platform, which they have generously gifted to Faith in Families as a charity. The platform will support staff, volunteers and adult learners with training, compliance and development, a vital piece of the infrastructure that keeps a model like the Multibank strong, safe and sustainable.

For Gaby and Arabella, the visit showed how local businesses, national partners and community volunteers come together to make Wales’ Multibank work, not just in theory, but in real time.

Cwtch Mawr Multibank exists to make sure families can access essentials with dignity, when they need them most. Having ambassadors who take the time to show up, listen and understand the detail behind the delivery matters, because advocacy is strongest when it’s rooted in lived experience.

As the Multibank continues to grow, moments like this remind us that impact isn’t just about numbers; it’s about people standing alongside each other to build something that works.
