We are a small team made up of Child and Family workers, Outreach Workers and volunteers. We all have a passion for community work and enjoy being able to deliver a varied programme of sessions in and around the community.

What We Do

We provide opportunities for children of all abilities to have fun, try new things, make friends, learn, grow and develop. Every child is valued for who they are and supported to be there best selves.We support parents through our 1-1 home visits, at our sessions and in our adult learning programmes. We help individuals by providing advice and practical support to help address issues.

Our History

Bonymaen Community Cwtch first opened its doors in spring 1999. The centre was originally situated in Cefn Hengoed Community School; in November 2010 the centre was temporarily re-located, after an unsettled few years we are now based in the old vicarage at 122 Mansel Road in the heart of Bonymaen. From the outset the centre has been well attended. We aim to make easily accessible opportunities for children and young people and their families to change their lives for the better. We work in partnership with a number of agencies in Swansea to ensure that a complete package of opportunities and support is on offer.

All of our staff are fully qualified and have a wide range of experiences working with children and families. We have a dedicated team who are committed to providing the community and our families with invaluable services.

Cwtch Mawr

Cwtch Mawr is a multi-bank, providing essential goods to those in need. We are partnered with a number of charities and groups throughout Swansea, who refer individuals and families to us for donations of essential items

Clase Community Cwtch

Clase Community Cwtch first opened it's doors in 2006. The community cwtch works closely with local primary schools and partner agencies to offer a variety of groups and projects. We are committed to working with families and releasing the potential in this community.

Teilo's Community Cwtch

Teilo's Community Cwtch first opened it's doors in 2018. The community cwtch is both a community centre and a childcare facility, where we deliver bespoke childcare, adult learning services, and community sessions. We are committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

St Johns Wellbeing Centre

St Johns Wellbeing Centre first opened it's doors in 2010. The community centre activities at the Centre, for example, an over 50’s Luncheon Club, a Gardening club and Food-Cooperative that complements the ethos of our organisation.

Brighter Futures Project

The Brighter Futures Project engagement team provide bespoke 1-2-1 interventions for children who require extra support with: Understanding and managing strong emotions, processing traumatic events, attachment difficulties, anxiety, self-esteem, family relationships, to name just a few.

Inspiring Futures Project

The Inspiring Futures scheme is aimed at women aged 16-24 years, and women aged 25+. The project will allow them to increase their skills and aspirations and encourage and support them into voluntary placements and training courses in their communities, which will enable them to move on to other activities that will increase their employability.
