Ryan – Summer of Fun Blog

One of our newest members of staff Ryan, shares his insights from this summers’ activities

As a new member of The Brighter Futures Team, my experiences are limited. Despite this, in my very short time with Faith in Families I have already had the privilege of many fun memories with the team and local community!

Within my very first week, I have developed some fantastic new skills ranging from exploring The Still Method to creating balloon animals at a family community day. Aside from the children having a blast it was apparent that the staff were equally, if not more invested in play (Jake).

It was very refreshing to see a team who clearly care so deeply for those in their care and their local community. The children who attended Mindful Monkeys, Confident Cooks and the family community day clearly think very highly of The Faith in Families Team and developed critical skills such as self-confidence, mindfulness and much more.

Even as a new member of staff, I have felt very welcome and valued. Faith in Families has clearly succeeded in creating and maintaining a fun loving, dynamic and child centred approach amongst both its staff and the young people that engage with the project.

It is clear that even in my early days, Faith in Families has a very bright future full of fun experiences that will prove invaluable to an entire community of children. I hope that there are many more memories to come!
