Our Senior Child and Families Worker Lucy, reflecting back on what has been an amazing summer of laughter, fun and special moments at Bonymaen Community Cwtch:
After a very different summer holidays last year we have most definitely made up for it this year.
After delivering a summer party last Thursday to 106 children in the community really was the icing on the cake to finish off a unforgettable summer in Bonymaen!
Which wouldn’t of been possible without my duo Rachel & Sally and the support from my manager Suzanne & the inspiring futures team! ????
It has been incredible reaching out to all our families and children who have loved every session that has been delivered, the preparation and planning that went into each session were thought of with creativity, enthusiasm and fun.
It has been heart warming to see families grow in confidence which has given them courage to make friendships, which has made their experience even more enjoyable.
My best bit of the holidays has definitely been reaching out to the families with children who are on reduced timetables at school. It makes me feel proud being able to offer these children play opportunities, watching them grow in confidence and feel comfortable in our setting which enables them to have so much fun and enjoy with others.
The feedback we have received from families has been truly special and makes the hard work all worth it to hear how relaxed they have felt around us as they leave their children in our care for play sessions.
