Jane Storer has spent the past 37 years of her working life helping people to navigate the complexities of the benefit system, working to support families through hardship and poverty. She’s seen the impact of a system that has been systematically cut and rights eroded and things don’t look they will change any time soon with child poverty on the increase. She’s now taking a bold step — quite literally — to raise her voice and make change.
In October, Jane will trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp in Nepal, stepping out of her own comfort zone because, as she says, “I know the children we support don’t get that choice.”
Every penny Jane raises will go directly to Faith in Families Swansea, helping to provide safety, comfort, and support to children and families living in poverty across our city. Jane is also self-funding the trek itself, so supporters can be assured that their donations will go straight where they’re needed most.
