Last year, Ollie wowed us all by climbing Pen y Fan and hosting a cake sale at the bottom, raising nearly £1,200 for Faith in Families. This year, he decided to take things up a gear (well… technically without any gears!) and cycle 15 miles from Swansea to Mumbles – with his famous cake stall waiting at the finish line.

Pedal Power (and a Lot of Brakes!)
On the big day, Ollie set off determined to complete the ride, despite holding his brakes more often than his mum and dad would have liked 🤦♀️. But with his family by his side, encouragement along the way, and the promise of cake at the end, Ollie pushed on.
His “little legs” carried him all 15 miles, showing once again that determination, fun, and a sprinkle of silliness are the perfect recipe for fundraising success.
Ollie Smashing His Target
Ollie didn’t just match last year’s incredible fundraising – he beat it! This year, he raised nearly £1,600 for Faith in Families. Every penny will go towards supporting children and families facing poverty, crisis, and trauma – something Nigel himself was passionate about supporting alongside Ollie.
“Next year Ollie wants to do a skydive – lucky for me he’s not old enough… so we’ll wait and see what he comes up with next!”
Ollie's Mum, Gemma
“Ollie is such an inspiration – his energy, determination and kindness shine through everything he does. To take on a 15-mile cycle at just seven years old is incredible, and to do it alongside his Grampa Nigel makes this year’s fundraising even more special. We are so grateful to Ollie, Gemma, and the whole family for choosing to support Faith in Families. Their efforts will help us reach even more children and families in Swansea who need us, and Nigel’s memory will live on through the impact these donations will make.”

A Special Ride with Grampa
This year’s challenge was made even more special as Ollie’s Grampa Nigel joined him for the ride. Nigel loved taking part in Ollie’s fundraising adventures and was incredibly proud of all that Ollie has achieved. Very sadly, Nigel passed away unexpectedly at the end of August.
In his memory, Ollie’s family have chosen to continue fundraising for Faith in Families, with donations being made instead of flowers. It’s a beautiful way to honour Nigel’s love and support while helping even more children and families in Swansea.
A Young Fundraiser with Big Dreams
From climbing mountains to cycling miles, Ollie’s imagination and determination inspire us all. Whether it’s selling cakes, tackling tough challenges, or coming up with his next big idea, Ollie shows what’s possible when kindness leads the way.
Thank You, Ollie and Nigel
Faith in Families is incredibly proud of Ollie and grateful to everyone who supported his fundraising again this year. His achievements – alongside the memory of his wonderful Grampa Nigel – remind us that no matter your age, you can make a big difference in your community.
Ollie, you are a true superstar – and your Grampa would be so proud. We can’t wait to see what challenge you dream up next! 🚴🍰✨
