Last night was one we will never forget.
Faith in Families has been named winner of the Charity Sustainability Award at the Charity Times Awards 2026 in London.
For a small charity rooted in Swansea and communities across Wales, winning a Charity Times Award on a UK-wide stage is an incredible moment.
But this award is about far more than one night in London.
It celebrates a model built on partnership, dignity, community and a simple belief; resources that already exist can be used to make life a little easier for people facing poverty, crisis and hardship.
The official Charity Times Awards winners list confirms Faith in Families as the 2026 winner of the Charity Sustainability Award.
A Charity Times Award for sustainability with people at its heart
At the centre of this recognition is Multibank Cymru, previously Cwtch Mawr Multibank, delivered by Faith in Families.
Multibank Cymru connects brand-new surplus goods from businesses with trusted charities, schools and community organisations.
That means clothing, toiletries, baby essentials, bedding, household items and other everyday products can reach people who need them, quickly and with dignity.
Our sustainability model is not simply about reducing waste.
It is about seeing possibility.
A product that is surplus in one place can be essential somewhere else. A business challenge can become a community solution. Environmental responsibility can sit alongside compassion and practical action.

This Charity Times Award belongs to a much wider family.
From the beginning, Amazon and Multibank UK have been instrumental in helping us develop, strengthen and grow the Multibank model in Wales.
Amazon helped establish the UK Multibank network, which connects surplus goods from businesses with local charities and professionals who understand where support is needed.
For Faith in Families, their belief in the model has helped turn ambition into practical community impact.
Their support, expertise, relationships and commitment have enabled Multibank Cymru to grow and reach more people across Wales.
And importantly, this has always been a partnership.

Taking support closer to communities
The model continues to evolve.
Our Cwtch Cubbies bring essential items directly into local communities, making support easier to access and helping us respond more quickly to need.
Partnerships such as Y Siop at Gower College Swansea also show how this approach can work in familiar, trusted settings.
Students can access practical essentials where they already study and spend time. As a result, support feels more accessible, more normal and more dignified.
This is what sustainability looks like to us.
It is not simply about products moving through a warehouse.
It is about building a smarter, kinder system around people.

The Charity Times Awards have celebrated best practice across the UK charity and not-for-profit sector for 27 years.
To see Faith in Families among this year’s winners is something we are incredibly proud of.
We went to London representing Swansea, our partners and communities across Wales.
We came home with a Charity Times Award.
But more importantly, we came home even more determined to keep going.
To keep building partnerships.
To keep finding better ways to use the resources already around us.
And to keep making sure people facing life’s toughest moments know they do not have to face them alone.
