Faith in Families was proud to represent Multibank Cymru at the Palletline Annual Awards in Edinburgh, a spectacular event that brought together Pallentline Network businesses, charity leaders and partners who are helping turn surplus goods into life-changing support.
The evening opened with a powerful speech from Gordon Brown, who shared that together, The Multibank | A Coalition of Compassion network has now given out more than 20 million items to people in need across the UK.
That number is huge.
However, behind every item is something much more human.
A child with warm clothes.
A parent with nappies.
A family with bedding.
Someone moving into emergency accommodation with the basics they need to feel safe.
A person facing crisis who is reminded that they are not alone.
Faith in Families Leading Multibank Cymru

At Faith in Families, we are incredibly proud to lead Multibank Cymru through Cwtch Mawr, Wales’ only Multibank.
Based in Swansea, Cwtch Mawr takes brand-new surplus goods from businesses and gets them to people who need them through trusted local charities, schools, community groups and frontline partners.

Cwtch Mawr was created in partnership with The Multibank UK and Amazon, with Palletline playing a vital role in helping bring this model to life in Wales. Everyone’s support, products, logistics expertise and commitment to community impact have helped Cwtch Mawr grow from a bold Swansea idea into a powerful network of practical support across South Wales.
It is dignity.
It is relief.
It is sustainability.
It is Hugs Not Handouts.

Cwtch Mawr is now making a difference to hundreds of smaller charities and community groups across South Wales. These are the organisations that know their communities best. They know which families are under pressure, who is starting again, and who needs help quickly.
By working through this trusted network, Multibank Cymru helps essential items reach people safely, fairly and with care.
Millions of Essential Items, One Shared Purpose
Since launching, Cwtch Mawr has helped redistribute millions of brand-new essential goods to children, families and individuals across South Wales.
These items include toiletries, nappies, cleaning products, bedding, school supplies, warm clothing, household goods and other everyday essentials that can make a huge difference when life feels overwhelming.

This has been made possible thanks to a growing coalition of companies, funders and partners who believe good items should never go to waste when they could be helping people.
Alongside Amazon, businesses such as Pura and many others have donated goods that can be moved quickly from surplus stock into communities where they are needed most.
Support from Welsh Government has helped Cwtch Mawr grow its reach, while local authorities and partners including Swansea Council, Bridgend Council, Codi, Caredig and Beacon Cymru play an important role in connecting support with local need. Together, this is creating a stronger, kinder and more sustainable way of supporting people.
Businesses Helping People and Planet
The Palletline Annual Awards were a powerful reminder of what can happen when businesses use their skills, networks and resources for good.
Palletline and its members play a vital role in helping goods move across the UK. That logistical support matters because getting the right items to the right places at the right time can change lives.
If your business has brand-new surplus goods, your support could help children, families and individuals across South Wales access the essentials they need.
If you are a community organisation, you could help make sure support reaches people with dignity and care.
And if you want to support Faith in Families, you can help us continue building stronger communities across Swansea Bay and beyond.
Together, we can support people and protect the planet.
Together, we can turn surplus into support.
Together, we can make sure nobody faces hardship alone.
