Our Manager at Teilo’s Tots/Teilo’s Community Cwtch Leanne, shares her best bits of the Summer with us.
With the relaxing of restrictions and the summer holidays right around the corner we wanted to give our community a summer full of fun and adventures.
It had been a strange 18 months delivering sessions via Zoom, meeting in gardens and holding small sessions in our car park. So right from the word go we wanted to rebuild connections and make sure our summer sessions were the best they could possibly be.
And what a fabulous summer it turned out to be! To hear noise, laughter, music and nonsense in our centre again filled the team with such happiness. I could see the sparkle back in their eyes and the spring back in their step.
Children grew in confidence as the holidays progressed, as did their usual trick of twisting the staff team around their little fingers!!
Alongside our traditional play sessions we provided cooking sessions, Forest School adventures, breakfast clubs, team challenges, family sessions, movies, a disco and a trip to Bikeability.
My favourite quote of summer is “Look at my pasty Mam, it tastes better than Greggs” how amazing!
Nothing would have been possible without the wonderful passionate, determined team that I’m proud to lead. I’m not quite sure who enjoyed the summer more – the team or the children!!! Well done everyone, you’re absolutely fantastic 🙂
