In the heart of Swansea, a powerful collaboration of kindness and community centred support is unfolding. Faith in Families are proud to announce a new partnership between the Cwtch Mawr Multibank and The Collaboration Station at St. David’s in Swansea City Centre, a dynamic and welcoming space brought to life by Swansea Council through the Pop Up Wales programme with partners Urban Foundry | B Corp™.
🏠 Over the past few months, this previously empty unit has become a vibrant hub for connection, creativity, and community. From Swansea’s first Digital Connectivity and Information event to Disability Forum socials and initiatives like Tackle After Dark (a collaboration between Ospreys in the Community, South Wales Police, and Swansea Council), the Collaboration Station is a growing hub for civic engagement, social innovation, and local connection.
📦 As of this week, Cwtch Mawr has donated nearly 7,000 essential items — including hygiene products, toilet rolls, home goods, and more — supporting the health, dignity, and wellbeing of those using the space. These items are now available to a wide range of community groups and outreach events thanks to this new partnership.
💪 This partnership further strengthens an already deep relationship — as Swansea Council is also a founding funding partner of Cwtch Mawr, enabling the Multibank to provide essential support to communities across the region.
💙💛 ❤️ This week marked the official launch of the partnership, celebrated by teams from Faith in Families, Cwtch Mawr, and Swansea Council, with vital products delivered by our own electric Mercedes eSprinter vans; ‘Cwtchy McCwtchface’ and the ‘Cwtch Mobile’ along with a commitment to continued collaboration.

Jonathan Waite, Facility & Development Manager – Cwtch Mawr Multibank at Faith in Families:
“This partnership reflects what the Multibank is all about — getting essential items to where they’re most needed, directly into the heart of our communities. The Collaboration Station is exactly the kind of innovative, people-led space where meaningful support and positive connections can grow.”
Hayley Gwilliam, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Support, said:
“The Collaboration Station is currently being used by a wide and diverse number of groups in Swansea so is an ideal venue for this partnership. We are proud to extend our work with Cwtch Mawr and Faith in Families making essential goods and products available to those that need them.”

Rhys Thomas, Community Engagement Transformation Lead, The Collaboration Station:
“We’re so excited to be working with Cwtch Mawr and Faith in Families. The donations are making a tangible difference to the community, and this collaboration allows us to amplify the positive work already happening in this space every day.”
Tim Moss, Third Sector and Community Development Project Coordinator, Swansea Council:
“This partnership is a fantastic example of how local government and community organisations can come together to deliver practical support with dignity and compassion. Collaboration Station was designed to be a hub for innovation — this partnership is proof of that in action.”
Julie Gosney, Partnership and Involvement Team Manager, Swansea Council:
“Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Partnering with Cwtch Mawr enables us to match essential products to people with the support they need. It’s inspiring to see how this shared space is becoming a catalyst for community action and real change.”
