Eastside Family Support Project

The types of support available include: – home visits, one-to-one support, accessing grants for equipment /furnishings, supporting families to move to more suitable accommodation, benefits advice, keeping medical appointments, securing playgroup or childcare placements and individual support for parenting problems.

What We Do

Parenting groups are run regularly, parents are able to come along to get advice on all aspects of parenting. The groups are aimed at increasing parent capacity to parent effectively and the group uses the Parentline Plus training resources.

St Johns Wellbeing Centre first opened it's doors in 2010. The community centre activities at the Centre, for example, an over 50’s Luncheon Club, a Gardening club and Food-Cooperative that complements the ethos of our organisation.

Brighter Futures Project

The Brighter Futures Project engagement team provide bespoke 1-2-1 interventions for children who require extra support with: Understanding and managing strong emotions, processing traumatic events, attachment difficulties, anxiety, self-esteem, family relationships, to name just a few.

Inspiring Futures Project

The Inspiring Futures scheme is aimed at women aged 16-24 years, and women aged 25+. The project will allow them to increase their skills and aspirations and encourage and support them into voluntary placements and training courses in their communities, which will enable them to move on to other activities that will increase their employability. ​
