Teilo's Community Cwtch

We are a small team of dedicated Child and family workers who have a passion for supporting children, families and individuals in the heart of their community.

What We Do

All of child base activities give children opportunities to experience new things, learn, develop, grow, laugh, be silly and gain independence.

During family sessions, families are encouraged to play, have fun and make memories doing different things together in a safe and friendly environment.

We help individuals by providing advice and practical support to help address issues.

Throughout all our sessions individuals are supported by our team of experienced and knowledgeable staff, all community members are welcome no matter their age, ability or status.

Our History

Teilos Community Cwtch began as Penplas Family centre in 2004. Based in 4 converted flats, the old family centre saw sessions bursting out of the rooms we had, so in 2014 Faith in Families along with St Teilos Parish started the adventure to gain funding to turn the church building into a bespoke centre.

Fast forward to August 2017 and we opened the doors to our new centre based in St Teilos Church. Teilos Community Cwtch was born out of the mutual desire to support community members in the heart of their community.

From the onset Teilos Community Cwtch has been well attended and has enabled us to work in a different way. Supporting hundreds of community members and working more closely with professionals to support families and individuals to thrive.

We are now able to rent spaces for individuals and professionals. The main hall is a diverse space that can be used for both large events/conference or smaller training/meetings.

Our professional kitchen and café area is the perfect place to hold a cooking course or healthy eating event.
