Faith in Families is celebrating an unforgettable night after winning the Making a Difference Award at the AU Vodka Swansea Life Awards, while also raising an incredible £2,270 as the chosen charity for the evening.
The awards took place at the Brangwyn Hall, bringing together businesses, charities and community champions from across Swansea. Faith in Families was proud to be shortlisted alongside two brilliant organisations, Matthews House and Anxiety Support Wales, both of whom are making a real difference in the city.
Representing Faith in Families on the night were Suzanne Baker, Community Impact Manager; Kayleigh Doidge, Child and Family Coordinator; Sharon Atkins, Chief Operating Officer; and Siany Martin, Fundraising Manager.
It was already a huge honour to be chosen as the charity for the event. Winning the Making a Difference Award made the evening even more special.
Winning at the Swansea Life Awards
Faith in Families would like to say a huge thank you to Jess, Jamie, Isabel and the whole team at JR Events for bringing the awards back so beautifully. Their commitment to celebrating local people, local businesses and local impact was clear throughout the evening.
The charity also sends a huge thank you to Tom and the team at AU Vodka. AU Vodka started in Swansea and still has its headquarters here, even though it has grown into a worldwide brand. Their continued pride in the city helps put Swansea on the map, and their support on the night helped create a truly memorable event.
Most importantly, Faith in Families would like to thank every person who bought a raffle ticket.
Because of the generosity of guests, £2,270 was raised on the night. That money will help Faith in Families continue supporting children, families and people across Swansea Bay facing poverty, crisis, trauma and isolation.

Supporting People Across Swansea Bay
Faith in Families supports people across Swansea Bay through Community Cwtches, Brighter Futures, Inspiring Futures and Cwtch Mawr Multibank.
Through the Community Cwtches, people can access safe spaces, groups, activities, support and connection. These spaces help people feel welcomed, listened to and less alone.
Brighter Futures provides one-to-one support for children and young people who need help understanding emotions, building confidence and coping with life’s challenges.
Inspiring Futures supports people into learning, work and confidence. This can include training, qualifications, CV support and encouragement to take the next step.
Cwtch Mawr Multibank, Wales’ first multibank, redistributes brand-new essential items such as clothing, bedding, toiletries, baby products and household goods through trusted partner organisations.
Together, these projects create a network of support that grows with people as their lives change.
Someone might first come to Faith in Families for a toddler group. Later, they may access practical support, emotional support for their child, a training course, volunteering, or even employment.
That is what makes Faith in Families different.
People are not just accessing a service. They are becoming part of a community.
